Staff Pharmacist

About This Role

This Staff Pharmacist role at CVS Health involves managing and improving patient health through dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices. The pharmacist will support the Pharmacy Manager in leading the pharmacy team and overseeing daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Oversee the pharmacy as a proxy to the Pharmacy Manager during bench shifts without overlap
• Strengthen pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching and consistent follow-up of pharmacy team members
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and utilizing safety guardrails
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, and coaching the pharmacy team
• Proactively offer and deliver immunizations to keep patients healthy; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to immunize
• Support the effective management of pharmacy inventory following best practices, protecting cold chain products
• Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure pharmacy operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, actively seeking opportunities to expand knowledge
• Support access to care and help improve patient outcomes through pharmacist delivered clinical care

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Nice to Have

• 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
