This Staff Pharmacist role at CVS Health focuses on helping manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices. The role supports the Pharmacy Manager in leading the pharmacy team and ensures compliant and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Oversee the pharmacy as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager during bench shifts, including coaching team members and providing performance feedback
• Assume the Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the pharmacy team to follow workflow procedures and safety guardrails
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and proactively resolving issues
• Proactively offer and deliver immunizations and engage Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
• Support effective management of pharmacy inventory by following and coaching the team on best practices, especially for cold chain products
• Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure pharmacy operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, including company-required trainings and CMEs, and seek opportunities to expand knowledge
• Support access to care and patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care (e.g., testing, prescribing) where permissible
• Comply with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, ethical principles, and CVS Health policies and procedures

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Nice to Have

• 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
