Staff Pharmacist

About This Role

As a Staff Pharmacist, you will manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices. You will also support the Pharmacy Manager in leading the pharmacy team, ensuring operational excellence and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
• Oversee the pharmacy as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager during bench shifts, including strengthening pharmacy performance
• Assume Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the team on workflow procedures and safety guardrails
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, collaborating with healthcare teams, and proactively resolving issues
• Proactively offer and deliver immunizations to keep patients healthy
• Support effective management of pharmacy inventory following best practices, especially for cold chain products
• Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure pharmacy operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
• Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, actively seeking opportunities to expand knowledge
• Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services
• Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list

Nice to Have

• 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
