Staff Accountant

About This Role

This Staff Accountant role will support accurate and timely financial operations for ForeFront Simulator Solutions, a growing construction and technology company. The position involves managing daily accounting functions and maintaining financial integrity across custom residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Process and record daily accounting transactions including A/P, A/R, and general ledger entries
• Assist with monthly and year-end close procedures and reconciliations
• Track project costs and support budget vs. actual reporting
• Support payroll reporting, time tracking, and employee expense reimbursements
• Coordinate with vendors regarding billing discrepancies and payment schedules
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reports
• Maintain organized digital records in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite)
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure job costing accuracy
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls
• Support annual tax preparation and coordination with external CPA firms

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Excel, and cloud-based accounting platforms
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• High level of discretion when handling confidential financial data

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based environments

• Experience in construction or project-based environments
• Experience with construction accounting, job costing, or AIA billing
