Sr. Visual Designer, Brand & Marketing

About This Role

This role involves designing marketing experiences to position QuickBooks products, educate potential customers, and enable purchases, contributing to the success of small businesses globally. The visual designer will be involved in all steps from insights to pixel-perfect designs, utilizing generative AI and conversational UI.

Responsibilities

• Design meaningful and purpose-driven layouts that inform and guide customers toward the right product for their small business
• Collaborate with other designers, content strategists, product managers, marketers, and researchers to drive business objectives
• Be proactive in seeking new knowledge and connections with marketing partners
• Participate in customer research and qualitative testing to inform customer experience design for the web and beyond
• Advance a strong point of view, backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends
• Conceptualize a broad spectrum of ideas and then narrow based on experimentation and customer research
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately
• Gain product knowledge across the suite of QuickBooks offerings

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in marketing-related design
• Online portfolio of relevant visual design work with proven business impact
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a design-related field
• Desire to make all design functional and beautiful through web, email, and in-product marketing funnels
• Strong business acumen and experience partnering directly with marketers and other designers
• Advanced experience with Figma including component libraries, optimizing and exporting assets
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a design-related field
• 5+ years experience in marketing-related design with an online portfolio of relevant visual design work and proven business impact

Nice to Have

• Understanding of generative AI tools and best practices
• Working knowledge of content management systems
