This role is for an experienced Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams in the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS's global data center infrastructure. The individual will oversee data center build projects from conceptual design through deployment, impacting the supply chain and ensuring high standards for safety and security.
Responsibilities
- Oversee data center build projects from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Lead cross-functional and technical teams
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders across multiple time zones
- Manage capital budgets
- Eliminate non-value-add activity
- Design solutions and remove blockers
- Find creative ways to accelerate project delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Management
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to handle ambiguity and competing priorities
- Understanding of mechanical/electrical engineering concepts
- Proficiency in project management tools, methodologies, and techniques
- Demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management
- Experience with MS Office
- Experience with MS Project
- Experience with MS SharePoint
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Management
- 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of data center or network capacity planning experience
- 5+ years of data center or network infrastructure program/project management experience
- Master's degree in a related technical field
- Experience with Tableau
- Experience with KanBan
- Experience with Playbook
