Sr Solutions Architect

About This Role

Help customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems at AWS, focusing on application architectures, migration approaches, and security best practices. Drive technical engagement for implementation projects and provide best practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement around specific implementation projects directly with customers and AWS Partners
• Provide best practices to customers
• Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
• Be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
• Provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to customers
• Lead efforts to capture and share best-practices within the AWS Solution Architect community
• Help customers to design and create cloud computing architectures

Requirements

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience, 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience, 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Technical presentation experience
• Experience Designing, Developing, Deploying and/or Migrating to Cloud environments
• Web site/services operations, management, and security experience
