The Sr. Associate, Upmarket Marketing Strategist will drive acquisition and customer marketing for Capital One's premium product portfolio. This role encompasses brand and creative strategy, through in-market execution across multiple channels, requiring experience in large-scale full-funnel marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Establish brand strategy and foundational elements for existing and new products including design targets, positioning, and claims development.
- Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns on a national scale to drive account growth, brand affinity, and customer engagement.
- Shepherd multiple marketing creative projects from brief to execution, ensuring strategic intent aligns with delivery.
- Serve as the brand strategy lead in collaborative cross-functional teams, partnering to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership.
- Champion the brand, ensuring all product representations align with brand personas, voice, and style guides.
- Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure marketing initiatives deliver on intent.
- Utilize excellent communication and partnership skills for interacting with key stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor3s Degree or Military Experience
- 2+ years of experience in brand strategy or product marketing
- 2+ years of experience in planning, executing and analyzing marketing programs
- 2+ years of experience in managing creative processes
- Experience leading marketing and brand strategy efforts in large organizations
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detailed-oriented with strong prioritization skills
- Highly effective communication skills with outstanding writing and presentation abilities
- Experience with a variety of marketing channels (digital channels, website, email, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work
Qualifications
- Bachelor3s Degree or Military Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in brand strategy or product marketing with experience managing channels on agency or client side. At least 2 years of experience in planning, executing and analyzing marketing programs. At least 2 years of experience in managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams and developing creative optimization frameworks.
Nice to Have
- Masters degree in marketing or business
- 3+ years of experience in marketing for financial services or another highly regulated industry
- 3+ years of experience driving optimization plans and creative strategy
- 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
