Sr Advanced Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced rotating equipment and auxiliary systems through stage gate process
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications
• Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability
• Utilize FEA for stress analysis and CFD modeling (Ansys Fluent/CFX)
• Create CAD models and drawings and facilitate their review for accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies
• Proficiency in CAD/FEA software and design tools
• Experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools
• Strong understanding of product testing and validation processes within stage gate processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in engineering
• 3+ years of rotating equipment experience
• Product design utilizing structural and/or CFD experience
• Ansys experience
• Experience in advanced mechanical design
• Proven track record of successful mechanical design projects
• Ability to collaborate with global teams and support team learning
• Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices
