About This Role

The Lead Attorney will be responsible for drafting and negotiating various legal agreements, providing strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders, and delivering compliance training across the organization. This role aims to proactively identify and mitigate potential legal risks for UOP and Honeywell.

Responsibilities

  • Draft various agreements including licensing, engineering, guarantee, alliance, equipment sales, collaboration, distributorship, channel partner, and sales/purchase of products agreements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders to support the sale of new products and offerings.
  • Negotiate agreements with external customers and suppliers.
  • Settle customer and supplier disputes.
  • Provide compliance training and guidance on antibribery/anticorruption, sanctions, export controls, and competition law.
  • Interpret new laws and regulations and assess their impact on the business.
  • Provide coaching and development for junior lawyers.
  • Perform due diligence and integration work related to mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic investments.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • 5+ years of law firm or in-house experience

  • Energy sector experience or construction/EPC experience
  • Experience with channel partners and distributors
