Speech Pathologist

About This Role

Provide speech-language pathology services, including consultations, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment intervention programs, for patients of all ages with communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia. Supervise and guide rehabilitation technicians, students, and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia
• Interpret assessment data
• Plan and perform speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach maximum potential
• Provide patient care to all age groups including neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric
• Supervise rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers
• Orient and provide ongoing guidance to assigned staff

Requirements

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school
• No experience required
