Speech Pathologist

About This Role

This role involves preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in adults within a homecare setting. The Speech Pathologist will also provide aural rehabilitation and implement augmentative communication systems to meaningfully impact patients' lives.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate coursework and clinical practicum
• Current CPR certification

Qualifications

• Entry level with a preference for one (1+) year of experience

Nice to Have

• One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology
