Speech & Language Pathology Assistant

About This Role

Support elementary students in grades 1-5 as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Arlington, TX. Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans and provide direct intervention to enhance students' communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans
• Provide direct speech and language intervention to students in grades 1-5
• Monitor and document student progress
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support speech development across classrooms
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)

Requirements

• Experience working with elementary-aged children (1st-5th grade)
• Knowledge of speech and language development and therapy techniques
• Ability to follow therapeutic protocols and adapt activities as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

• Previous experience as an SLPA or in a related role in a school setting
