Special Ed Teacher

About This Role

Serve as a full-time Special Education Teacher for PreK-5th grade students in Naperville, IL, providing specialized instructional support under a contract for the current school year.

Responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual student IEP goals within a PreK-5 classroom
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records and reports
• Implement behavior intervention plans and adaptive instructional materials
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills

Requirements

• Valid Illinois Special Education License with LBS1 endorsement
• Strong understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies for special education students
• Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and foster a positive learning environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching PreK-5 students in a special education setting preferred
