About This Role

Soliant is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to serve as an Intervention Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year at a high school in Warren, OH. This contract position focuses on supporting students with special needs and launching a new career center-based classroom.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support to high school students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with career readiness goals.
• Establish and manage a career center classroom focused on practical job skills and career preparation for students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and community partners to create meaningful work experiences and transition plans.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to meet individual goals.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in special education, particularly within a high school environment
• Background or expertise in career preparation and transition services for students with special needs
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to student-centered learning and fostering independence
