Shipping & Receiving Associate

About This Role

Process incoming parts, maintain inventory control, and assist with purchasing various commercial components to support Tesla's manufacturing machinery operations in Grand Rapids. The role primarily involves driving and maintaining Tesla Fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry into the ERP system
• Sort, label, and repack parts for inventory control
• Coordinate with the team to ship large-scale shipments
• Organize incoming parts onto designated project carts, bins, or racking
• Maintain organized inventory
• Suggest improvements to maximize efficiency of operational procedures
• Handle the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
• Drive and maintain Tesla Fleet vehicles

Requirements

• 1 year of logistics experience and familiarity with inventory control
• Strong work ethic and computer proficiency
• Ability to accurately maintain daily driver log-book pre-check and post-check of truck
• Ability to promptly unload trucks deliveries, sort, and stock receivables
• Ability to lift and move heavy boxes up to 60 pounds manually
• Ability to operate a pallet jack for heavy material on/off trucks
• Ability to operate heavy equipment forklifts daily
• Knowledge of local major and minor roadways
• Adherence to federal motor carrier safety regulations DOT guidelines
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English both written and verbal
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license (insured)
• Class A CDL
• Current DOT Physical Examination medical card

Qualifications

• 1 year of logistics experience and familiarity with inventory control
