The Shipping & Receiving Associate verifies and records incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for internal processing while ensuring quality and productivity standards. The role involves operating equipment like forklifts and maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspection of various parts or components
- Receive incoming goods, confirm accuracy, and route appropriately to the shop floor
- Assure all quality control documents are complete and included in outgoing shipments
- Ensure that materials shipped and received are verified against pertinent documentation
- Process expedited deliveries in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing safe work practices
- Safely operate equipment including forklifts and other required machinery
- Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100, Nadcap and Quality Management Systems
- Experienced forklift truck operator
- Factory-related experience
