Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle systems for customers, ensuring efficiency and adherence to dealership and manufacturer specifications. Communicate effectively with Service Advisors to inform customers of additional service needs and provide estimated repair times.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional service needs and provide an estimate of time needed for repairs
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Requirements
- Certifications
- Previous experience at an automotive dealership
- Strong teamwork skills
- Valid in-state driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- Clean driving record
