Service Technician II

About This Role

Provide on-site support to Hobart Service customers, including installation, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of commercial food equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment, assisting in more advanced installations as needed
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair basic mechanical commercial food equipment for customers
• Interpret and follow schematic diagrams
• Demonstrate knowledge of sequence of operations for multiple operating modes
• Complete and document preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical commercial food equipment
• Implement and support standard operating procedures outlined in Hobart Service safety manuals and programs
• Support branch and organization financial objectives by providing quality customer experience
• Maintain current organization, industry, and equipment knowledge
• Be responsible for assigned company assets including vehicle, tools, and inventory
• Follow the company's safe driving and other applicable policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-4 years of electrical and mechanical experience OR 0-2 years of HVACR service experience with an EPA certification OR Vocational certificate in HVACR
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with troubleshooting experience
• Ability to interpret and follow schematic diagrams
• Ability to read and interpret standard service manuals
• Basic math skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate orally
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2-4 years of electrical and mechanical experience, OR High school diploma or GED and 0-2 years of HVACR service experience with an EPA certification, OR Vocational certificate in HVACR
• 2-4 years of electrical and mechanical experience, or 0-2 years of HVACR service experience.

Nice to Have

• Associate's Degree or Vocational Certificate
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking and/or refrigeration equipment
• Industry certification
