Senior Tax Manager

About This Role

This Senior Tax Manager role involves overseeing all aspects of tax services, including planning, preparation, and compliance, while providing expert guidance to clients and senior management. The successful candidate will also mentor junior staff and stay updated on tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire tax process, including planning, preparation, and compliance
• Conduct comprehensive tax research to ensure compliance and identify tax savings opportunities
• Prepare and review complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Provide expert guidance on tax matters to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders
• Develop and implement tax strategies that align with business objectives
• Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment
• Stay updated on changing tax laws and regulations, and communicate these changes effectively
• Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors, maintaining positive relationships
• Evaluate the tax impact of company decisions and transactions, providing strategic recommendations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Active CPA license
• 7+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry
• Outstanding client service and communication skills
• Experience and willingness to coach and mentor others
• Experience with Tax Review
• Client-Facing skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry is required.

Nice to Have

• Experience with C-Corp and Pass-Through Entity
• Experience with Construction or Manufacturing industries
