This Senior Software Engineer role focuses on building and evolving storage and persistence components for a modern search platform. The position requires an individual who enjoys working close to the metal, focusing on performance, correctness, and durability in system-level challenges.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve storage and persistence components underpinning a modern search platform
• Solve performance-critical, correctness-sensitive problems
• Contribute directly to a core Rust codebase
• Partner closely with a small team shipping foundational infrastructure

Requirements

• Deep systems experience (database internals/storage engines, filesystems, OS-adjacent storage, or large-scale storage infrastructure)
• Focus on reliability and performance trade-offs in critical systems

Qualifications

• Strong systems experience or strong research work

Nice to Have

• Rust experience
