Senior Systems Engineer

About This Role

This Senior Systems Engineer role involves designing, building, and integrating critical Ground Systems sites, utilizing cutting-edge technology for national security missions. Additionally, the role provides an opportunity to advance defense/intelligence services and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements analysis, definition, and management
• Conduct functional analysis, performance analysis, and system design
• Develop detailed trade studies, systems integration and test (verification), validation, and interface definition studies
• Perform technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability/effectiveness analyses for subsystems and system elements
• Analyze customer requirements and define allocations to lower levels
• Perform detailed technical analyses for subsystem or system elements
• Develop and evaluate systems, networks, and information systems to meet security specifications
• Support system accreditation/certification evaluation and testing
• Develop system security documentation for new and fielded information systems
• Participate in Modeling and Simulation activities
• Research and analyze data for design or application feasibility
• Support technical engineering product generation using appropriate standards and tools
• Provide leadership and/or direction to lower-level employees
• Determine proposed approach to solutions independently
• Contribute to the completion of major programs and projects
• Plan and execute project tasks
• Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output, and working parameters
• Design complete and complex frameworks, systems, or products
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses
• Maintain regular contact with senior internal work groups and external customers
• Resolve diverse and complex problems
• Keep abreast of technology trends
• Contribute to achieving business objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
• 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience
• Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance
• U.S. citizenship
