Staff Software Engineer

About This Role

Architect the core intelligence layer for an AI-powered search and ranking platform. This role involves owning the end-to-end architecture of a large-scale search and sourcing platform, focusing on data ingestion, indexing, ranking, and personalization to deliver ranked, personalized insights to investment firms.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of a large-scale search and sourcing platform, spanning data ingestion, indexing, ranking, and personalization
• Design and scale distributed systems that process and serve high volumes of structured and unstructured data
• Build reliable, high-performance pipelines and services with strong guarantees around latency, correctness, and cost
• Establish robust evaluation and observability frameworks to measure system quality and performance
• Partner with Product to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical designs
• Mentor engineers and set the long-term architectural direction across the platform

Requirements

• 7–8+ years building distributed or large-scale backend systems
• Experience with search, ranking, or recommendation systems
• ML/LLM systems in production
• Strong background in data-intensive or event-driven architectures
• Proven technical leadership at Staff level
