Senior Structural Engineer

About This Role

Lead structural engineering teams and deliver innovative structural systems for complex, high-impact projects in New York City. This role involves directing design, mentoring engineers, and ensuring project integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct structural design and analysis from concept through construction phases
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, architects, and technical staff
• Interface with clients, consultants, and city agencies to ensure design integrity and regulatory compliance
• Maintain control over project budgets, timelines, and deliverables
• Oversee quality assurance and technical documentation, ensuring the highest standards are met

Requirements

• At least 10 years of structural design experience on projects within New York City
• PE License in New York State
• Demonstrated leadership in managing project teams and stakeholder relationships
• High-level proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, RISA, AutoCAD, and Revit
• Thorough knowledge of NYC building codes and local construction procedures
• Strong communication and organizational capabilities
