This role is for a strategic thinker who can manage and ensure the readiness of hangar production coordination for aircraft maintenance events, including modifications, inspections, and Engineering Authorizations. The goal is to deliver safe and reliable aircraft by completing projects on-time, within budget, and scope.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, develop and assemble schedules for all heavy check packages for all new Engineering Authorizations (EAs)
- Conduct pre-induction and post check meetings to ensure alignment and clear expectations across all teams
- Track inbound and active aircraft events
- Proactively course-correct conflicting workload using project management tools
- Engage in problem solving and root causation efforts
- Utilize lessons learned to identify opportunities for process improvement and lead supporting initiatives
- Enable check event success by engaging other Tech Ops teams
- Raise concerns when scope of analysis may not align with time available and choose an appropriate scope of analysis balancing ROI to time available
- Audit regulatory aircraft paperwork for completeness and compliant sign-offs
Requirements
- High School Diploma + 5 years Aircraft maintenance experience or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, Aviation
- 2+ years experience managing projects
- 2+ years Heavy Aircraft maintenance planning and execution
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs and fleet project efforts (EAs)
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong strategic planning skills
- Data and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to handle simultaneous projects and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
- Proficient in MS Office applications
Qualifications
- High School Diploma + 5 years Aircraft maintenance experience or Bachelors in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, Aviation
- 5+ years Aircraft maintenance experience or 2+ years experience managing projects and 2+ years Heavy Aircraft maintenance planning and execution
Nice to Have
- A&P license or equivalent planning / execution experience
- Project Management or Lean Six Sigma certification
- 5+ years of professional experience in project management
- Knowledge of United/industry data sources
- Background and knowledge of aircraft maintenance system
- Working Knowledge of Sceptre
