Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

About This Role

This role involves collaborating with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies. The Senior Software Engineer will leverage data and emerging technologies to drive major transformation within Capital One, delivering robust cloud-based solutions to empower customers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
• Share passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies
• Participate in internal & external technology communities and mentor other members of the engineering community
• Collaborate with digital product managers
• Deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
• Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go
• Utilize Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Utilize Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes
• Utilize a variety of AWS tools and services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
