Senior Software Engineer, Back End

About This Role

This role involves collaborating with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools. The engineer will build robust cloud-based solutions to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
• Share passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies
• Participate in internal & external technology communities
• Mentor other members of the engineering community
• Collaborate with digital product managers
• Deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
• 1+ years of experience with Cloud Container Platform (Kubernetes, OCP)
• 2+ years of experience with API development, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), security protocols (JWT, OAuth), and automated testing with Cucumber and JUnit
• 1+ years of experience with DevOps and build tools using Jenkins CI/CD, Gradle, Github, Nexus and SonarQube
• 2+ years of experience in open source frameworks
• 2+ years of experience providing rotation-based production support
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
