About This Role

This role involves processing financial assistance applications for assisted living placements and coordinating eligibility determinations and benefit authorizations with various state entities. The Senior Services Technician will ensure accurate and timely processing of General Relief/Temporary Assisted Living authorizations and proper invoice submission from providers.

Responsibilities

  • Receive applications for financial assistance for assisted living placements through the General Relief Assisted Living Home Care Program
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other state entities to make accurate, timely eligibility determinations and benefit authorizations
  • Process monthly General Relief/Temporary Assisted Living authorizations
  • Coordinate with providers to ensure all program requirements are met and invoices are submitted accurately and in full

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • 3 years of clerical experience
  • 1 year of experience in public health, health care services, senior services, medical assistance programs, health education, nursing, medical social work, health services administration, or a closely related field
  • Alaska residency

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Three years of clerical experience with one year in public health, health care services, senior services, medical assistance programs, health education, nursing, medical social work, health services administration, or a closely related field. College education may substitute for required experience.
