Senior Roadway Engineering Manager

About This Role

Lead and manage complex roadway design projects for FDOT and other local agencies throughout Florida, utilizing significant client interaction and strategic marketing skills to secure new project opportunities within GAI Consultants' statewide Transportation practice.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and solve new problems using creativity, foresight, and mature judgment
• Set priorities and reconcile directions from competing interests
• Lead projects with complex features
• Integrate engineering economics and risk analysis into complex engineering problem solutions
• Integrate solutions to complex problems across specialty areas
• Develop standards and guidelines
• Lead projects in the practice in area of specialization
• Develop appropriate design alternatives for complex engineering projects considering realistic requirements, constraints, community input, permitting, and regulatory constraints
• Oversee technical, legal, and financial issues of an entire project
• Determine project objectives and requirements

Requirements

• 15+ years Project Management experience on complex roadway design projects for FDOT and other local agencies throughout Florida
• Significant client interaction skills
• Strategic skills to identify and develop a marketing strategy for winning specific project opportunities
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. Engineering, Master's Degree or Equivalent Experience Preferred
• 15+ years of Project Management on complex roadway design projects for FDOT and other local agencies throughout Florida

Nice to Have

• Reciprocity for P.E. license in multiple states
