This role involves designing roadways for ODOT and Local Public Agency clients within GAI Consultants' Ohio Transportation Business Unit. The successful candidate will create and review project design calculations, specifications, and plans, while utilizing roadway design CADD software.
Responsibilities
- Roadway design for ODOT and Local Public Agency (LPA) clients
- Create and review project design calculations, quantity takeoffs, specifications, plans, and contract documents
- Assign responsibilities within the Transportation Team
- Manage projects within specified schedules and budgets
- Apply ODOT design manual and AASHTO principles to highway design
- Utilize roadway design CADD software
- Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
- Travel occasionally to client meetings and site visits with possible overnight stays
Requirements
- Experience with roadway design for ODOT and Local Public Agency (LPA) clients
- Proficiency with roadway design CADD software
- Knowledge of ODOT design manual and AASHTO principles in highway design
