About This Role

The Senior Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for completing higher-level work for the health system, assisting the Director with reimbursement and financial needs, and maintaining current knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the completion of Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports and work with fiscal intermediaries and auditors on settlements, rate reviews, and re-openings.
  • Perform completion of all CHGME reports and maintain current knowledge of CHGME Regulations and federal database registrations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of HCAP, UPL, Franchise Fees, Enhanced Reimbursement, and other government programs established by the State of Ohio.
  • Participate in the review of monthly and annual financial statements related to net revenue and support annual public accounting audit.
  • Develop and maintain CSA models and their application as part of monthly financial statement preparation.
  • Interact with internal and external data sources and perform additional report maintenance.
  • Work with the External Affairs Department to maintain the Community Benefit Program and ensure accurate and timely filing of the IRS 990H.
  • Coordinate all processes to ensure timely completion of MPIP attestation submissions, maintaining current knowledge of Medicaid and CMS regulations.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years experience in Medicare/Medicaid regulations and cost report preparation
  • Experience in healthcare accounting
  • Experience in healthcare reimbursement
  • Experience working with all levels within an organization
  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years is preferred.
