About This Role

The Regional Facilities Maintenance Technician ensures that all facilities are maintained in a safe and effective manner, providing preventative, reactive, and emergency maintenance for Regional Facilities on and off-campus. This role is a key member of the facilities maintenance team responsible for coordinating with site managers and the hospital team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide preventative, reactive, and emergency maintenance for Regional Facilities (on and off-campus) on a routine basis.
  • Work in constant coordination with site managers and the on-site hospital Facilities Maintenance team to provide customer service.
  • Complete and appropriately document all assigned work for the Regional Facilities Maintenance crew.
  • Provide support to the Regional Facilities Maintenance Manager, Safety Team and the Facilities Director.
  • Communicate Engineering/Maintenance issues to both internal and external hospital departments and contacts.
  • Assist in the review, oversite and execution of projects performed by Regional Facilities Maintenance Technicians and/or outside vendors.
  • Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Perform assigned Environment of Care inspections and routine regulatory physical checks such as exit/emergency light inspections, fire extinguishers inspections and generator runs as required.
  • Follow and enforce Joint Commission and CMS regulations.
  • Be available for emergency on-call maintenance when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance
  • Experience with electric, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration
  • Experience working with all levels within an organization
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint] or similar software
  • High level of proficiency with CMMS and Building Automation software
  • Strong communication, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a valued team member
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain insurability

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with building codes, NFPA, and life safety regulations
  • Experience in Joint Commission and CMS regulatory bodies
  • Experience in healthcare
