About This Role

This Medical Education Coordinator II role provides comprehensive programmatic and operational management support for educational programs within the Department of Medical Education. The coordinator independently manages key aspects of residency, fellowship, undergraduate medical education (UME), and continuing medical education (CME) programs, ensuring accreditation compliance and a high-quality learner experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administrative and operational functions for assigned medical education programs.
  • Prioritize and coordinate multiple program timelines, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a primary operational point of contact for learners, faculty, and program leadership.
  • Identify and resolve routine operational issues, escalating risks proactively.
  • Interpret and apply accreditation and regulatory requirements (e.g., ACGME, LCME, ACCME) to daily operations.
  • Maintain continuous accreditation readiness through ongoing monitoring and documentation management.
  • Prepare and manage materials for accreditation reviews, internal reviews, audits, and site visits.
  • Advise program leadership on documentation standards, timelines, and operational compliance.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, including application workflows, interview scheduling, and logistics.
  • Manage learner onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Oversee evaluation and assessment processes, ensuring timely completion and accurate tracking.
  • Provide cross-coverage across educational programs as part of a shared departmental portfolio model.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives, standardization efforts, and continuous improvement of medical education operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical education, graduate medical education, academic administration, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complex administrative processes
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and web-based academic management systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt to evolving institutional needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in medical education, graduate medical education, academic administration, or a related field
