Senior Product Marketing Manager

About This Role

Lead product marketing for Avalara's 1099, W9, and Business Licenses products, developing marketing strategies and go-to-market plans. Collaborate with product, sales, and marketing teams to create compelling content and drive product adoption in the tax compliance market.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management to distill important functionality and benefits for upcoming features into product marketing messages
• Engage with Revenue Marketing teams to identify and integrate joint messaging and content into lead generation, customer engagement, and product adoption-focused marketing campaigns
• Develop compelling audience-specific messages and presentations, customer success stories, and videos
• Develop creative product marketing activities that reach target audiences
• Work with sales to ready our general and specialized sales teams on our value propositions and messaging
• Deliver presentations to internal and external audiences (analysts, customers, conference sessions, and third-party, public events) on Avalara's compliance platform

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical marketing, technical pre-sales, consulting, training, or product marketing/management
• 5+ years demonstrated track record in crafting positioning and marketing content
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or a relevant field (e.g., computer science)
• Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative technology products
• Experience using AI and AI-related technologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or a relevant field of studies such as computer science
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as technical marketing, technical pre-sales, consulting, training, or product marketing/management
