Senior Mechanical Engineer

About This Role

This role will provide technical leadership and QA/QC oversight for complex healthcare facilities projects, focusing on mechanical system design and innovative solutions. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will ensure compliance with codes and standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and review of mechanical systems for healthcare facilities
• Serve as a technical expert for complex engineering challenges
• Perform QA/QC to ensure quality, code compliance, and project alignment
• Support and guide engineering staff
• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate mechanical systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience (healthcare preferred)

Nice to Have

• Healthcare certifications (ASHRAE HFDP, ASSE 6060, ASSE 12080, CHC)
• ASHE membership or similar
• Experience with healthcare codes and standards
