This role involves reimagining the status quo and driving innovative customer experiences through technology for the Multi-User Experiences team at Capital One, focusing on how customers manage money through various relationships. The Senior Manager, Product Manager will be the voice of these customers during the development of new features, enabling new relational experiences through investment in backend architecture, data ecosystem, and connecting new Bank services.
Responsibilities
- Reimagine the status quo, find value creation opportunities, and drive innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology.
- Be the voice of multi-user experience customers throughout the development of new features.
- Enable new relational experiences through investment in backend architecture, data ecosystem, and connecting new Bank services.
- Obsess about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions.
- Deliver game-changing outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence.
- Leverage technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions within a modern data ecosystem (cloud-based data platforms, APIs, real-time data flows).
- Identify and resolve complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks, including those related to data quality, data governance, and data pipeline efficiency.
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment.
- Champion data-driven decision making and foster a culture of data literacy.
- Directly manage and mentor product managers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in Product Management
- 2+ years of experience leading and managing a team of product managers
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) OR an MBA with a quantitative concentration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or a Master's Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
- At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management and at least 2 years of experience leading and managing a team of product managers.
Nice to Have
- Experience translating business and/or data strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
- Deep understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and data lifecycle management
- Experience with large-scale data platforms, data warehousing, data lakes, or real-time data streaming technologies
- Proven ability to define and drive multi-year product roadmaps
- Experience collaborating with product managers, data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers as both data producers, and consumers
