Lead technical programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms within Capital One's Card Tech+ organization, specifically focusing on the integration with Discover. This role will also establish and expand the Technical Program Management discipline within the team.
Responsibilities
- Manage integration programs with Discover
- Support technical execution details for customer experience development
- Partner with other TPMs across Card and CapitalOne to build successful integration foundations
- Leverage industry knowledge to expand the TPM discipline within the team
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life-cycle
- Drive well-educated technical decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science teams
- Focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results
- Collaborate across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience managing technical programs
- Strong technical backgrounds
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
- Quantitative approach to problem solving
- Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results
- Exceptional cross-team collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience managing technical programs
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture (preferably AWS)
- 3+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms
- 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery
- 3+ years experience delivering large and complex programs (owning business/technical vision, collaborating with cross-functional teams, securing commitments, unblocking teams)
- Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)
