Senior Manager Global Supply Chain Planning External Suppliers

About This Role

Lead global supply chain planning for external suppliers, working with cross-functional stakeholders to develop strategies and processes supporting global business and customer needs. Balance conflicting requirements of inventory investments, manufacturing efficiency, financial results, and customer service levels.

Responsibilities

• Devise and coordinate Supply Chain (SC) strategies on region/global supply chain planning and systems
• Ensure alignment between external suppliers and BD’s global supply strategy
• Drive SIOP/IBP processes with external partners and actively manage risks of supply disruptions
• Ensure adherence to BD standards and regulatory requirements across the external supply base
• Lead the monthly Global IBP (SIOP) process components, specifically the “Supply Review”
• Ensure connection and alignment between Platform, Regional Demand, and MDS components of the IBP process
• Ensure the supply chain network operates to meet the needs for assigned BD market customers on a consistent basis
• Ensure the establishment of target inventory levels and mix to achieve management objectives for service levels, backorder incidence/duration and inventory-DIO goals
• Deploy the Long-term planning Strategy for the External suppliers together with the Region, Procurement and Operational Leaders
• Drive Overall Operations/Supply Chain process optimization by identifying and implementing best practices

Requirements

• 5-7 years progressive management experience in Supply Chain/ Operations
• Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain Planning
• Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully execute strategy
• Experience leading cross functional teams and driving consensus in decision making
• Demonstrated financial management, organizational, planning, and implementation skills
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and rapid decision-making capabilities
• Solid and broad supply chain functional expertise, with a clear understanding of the linkages from demand planning through production and distribution
• In depth knowledge of business process, with a focus on Customer Facing & Integrated Supply Chain processes
• Advanced knowledge of MRP/ERP and Advance Planning tools

Qualifications

• BS in Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, Engineering. MBA and / or advanced degree preferred
• 5-7 years progressive management experience in Supply Chain/ Operations

• Breadth of background across numerous roles / functions within an Integrated Global E2E Supply Chain organization
• Kinaxis experience
