About This Role

Join the P.A.T.H. rotational development program at BD, designed for veterans and qualified applicants to transition into corporate finance. Gain broad exposure to finance and accounting responsibilities within the Medical Essentials Business, with customized rotations and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Support operations staff in managing financials, including annual budget, quarterly projections, and monthly actual processes, focusing on material variances, labor, indirect expenses, inventory, and capital
• Prepare, analyze, and report monthly and annual financials to Facility, Division, and Corporate management
• Own end-to-end fixed and variable operating budget for the facility
• Perform monthly balance sheet review and reconciliation
• Assist and challenge teams with compiling cost improvements, team goals, and monthly forecasts
• Manage both internal and external audits performed at the facility
• Review, challenge, monitor, and support control procedures
• Manage and report results of annual physical inventory
• Drive operational improvements, maintain and enhance processes and controls, and take ownership of new processes
• Document relevant information for critical financial roles of the plant

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to improve controls and influence decisions through accounting knowledge and data driven financial analysis
• Cost Accounting knowledge
• General Accounting knowledge
• Finance knowledge
• Advanced Excel skills
• ERP experience

Qualifications

• Track record of demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility, successful business partnering at a senior level, and leading cross-functional teams OR equivalent military experience.

Nice to Have

• SAP experience
• Audit experience
