Operator 1

About This Role

This role involves executing routine tasks in a warehouse environment, focusing on materials handling, packaging domestic and international customer orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The Operator 1 will primarily manage shipping processes, stock supplies, and pull components for production.

Responsibilities

• Sort customer orders, pick products from inventory, verify other associate product pulls, and prepare goods for final shipment according to temperature requirements.
• Pack orders requiring dry ice refrigerant.
• Process daily outbound customer orders using automated carrier or manual shipping systems.
• Replenish daily consumable shipping supplies, copier paper, foam boxes, and other supplies in work environments.
• Manage consumable inventories and communicate shortages to department management.
• Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped, such as Transfer Orders, Shipping Letters of Instructions, and Export Declarations.
• Pick up and deliver materials and components, signing for received materials and checking against packing slips.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain component inventories and integrity of records without direct supervision.
• Notify Supervisor of damaged or mixed materials.
• Participate in required regulatory training and bring compliance questions to management.
• Assist in preparation of shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments.
• Communicate daily progress and notify problem situations to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain shipping and warehouse areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Operate a forklift and/or Company vehicle as directed.
• Maintain security programs for shipment processing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 1 year experience in materials distribution (shipping/receiving/inventory control)
• Good inter-personal and communication skills
• Ability to utilize Microsoft systems (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and good driving record

Qualifications
