About This Role

The Senior Manager, External Manufacturing at Biosense Webster, Inc. manages global External Manufacturers supporting over $25MM in Electrophysiology (EP) revenue. This role involves implementing critical initiatives, ensuring performance targets for service, quality, and financial outcomes, and deploying end-to-end supply strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on quality, service, reliability, financial, and growth commitments from External Manufacturers (EM's)
  • Implement supplier performance management and lead regular performance reviews (IBP, CIP execution, Quality reviews)
  • Coordinate product tech transfers and decommissioning of sites, and engage EMs in lean process improvements
  • Partner in the development and drive the External Manufacturing vision for, with and through the organization
  • Assess existing global EM footprints and conduct analysis of investments required to support recurring cost reductions and business growth for EM sites
  • Conduct CIP generation sessions to develop the vision, strategy, and implementation plan for long-range business requirements
  • Develop Operations Plans (including budgets, volume planning) with EM sites
  • Collaborate with key internal partners for New Product Introductions (NPI) at EM sites to ensure successful NPI launch

Requirements

  • Minimum eight (8) years of relevant professional work experience
  • Experience working in/supporting Manufacturing Operations
  • Strong analytical/technical proficiency and competence
  • Project management skills
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing and collaboration skills
  • Able to prioritize requests and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent University degree is required; focused degree in Engineering, Business, Life Sciences or related field preferred. Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum eight (8) years of relevant professional work experience. Experience working in/supporting Manufacturing Operations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a GMP environment
  • Track record in Talent Development
  • Experience in multiple areas of supply chain including managing third-party manufacturers, procurement, distribution or finance
  • Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and/or certification
  • Experience with the commercialization of new products
