Senior Guidewire Billing Center Developer

About This Role

Design, configure, and extend Guidewire BillingCenter functionality using Gosu, XML, and Guidewire Studio. This role involves implementing business rules, customizing UI components, and integrating with external systems to ensure seamless billing operations within the P&C insurance domain.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and extend Guidewire BillingCenter functionality using Gosu, XML, and Guidewire Studio
• Implement business rules, workflows, billing plans, invoicing logic, payment handling, and write-offs
• Customize screens, entities, data models, and UI components to support billing operations
• Develop and maintain integrations between BillingCenter and external systems (policy, claims, payment vendors, general ledger, third-party APIs)
• Build and test web services (SOAP/REST), messaging, and batch processes
• Write unit tests and support QA teams with integration and regression testing
• Participate in defect triage and performance tuning across billing workflows
• Produce technical design documents, mapping documents, and configuration guides
• Maintain coding standards and ensure compliance with SDLC and platform best practices
• Work with business analysts, architects, and project managers to translate requirements into technical solutions

Requirements

• 7+ years of development experience with Guidewire applications
• 4+ years of recent BillingCenter experience
• Strong proficiency in Gosu, Java, XML, and Guidewire Studio
• Experience with Guidewire Configuration and Integration frameworks
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance billing domains (invoicing, payments, delinquency rules, installments)

Qualifications

• 7+ years of development experience with Guidewire applications; 4+ years of recent BillingCenter experience

Nice to Have

• Exposure to SOAP/RESTful APIs, messaging, and batch processes
• Familiarity with tools like Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence
