Java Web Engineer Consultant

About This Role

This role is for an experienced Java Web Engineer Consultant focused on a high-priority upgrade and conversion project. The consultant will enhance existing applications using modern Java and Spring Boot, interact with Oracle databases, develop front-end pages, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Enhance existing applications using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot
• Interact with Oracle databases using SQL and PL/SQL
• Develop new front-end pages with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and AJAX
• Enhance existing front ends using Thymleaf, HTML, CSS and AJAX
• Write thorough, correct unit tests using JUnit and Mockito
• Deploy code using Jenkins
• Interact with end users to determine requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience working with Oracle databases
• Experience building front ends using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and AJAX
• Experience writing Unit tests with JUnit and Mockito
• Strong proficiency in Java 17/21
• Strong proficiency in Spring MVC
• Excellent Communication skills
• Highly adaptable and resilient under pressure
• Independent worker; Able to clear their own blocks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

• Experience with PL/SQL
