Senior Estimator (Commercial Roofing)

Join a top commercial roofing company as a Senior Estimator, responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects from preliminary drawings and specifications
• Analyze and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications to understand the scope of work to bid
• Use CAD software to create roofing designs and layouts
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information
• Collaborate with the project management team to develop project schedules and plans
• Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to ensure accurate understanding of project conditions and requirements
• Present prepared estimates to clients and stakeholders, explaining and defending cost estimates as needed
• Continuously monitor industry trends and pricing to ensure our company remains competitive
• Participate in contract negotiations, change order discussions, and project hand-off meetings

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the commercial roofing or construction industry
• Expertise in CAD
• Proficient in using estimating software and technology
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of relevant construction laws and regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the commercial roofing or construction industry.
