Senior Data Architect

About This Role

This Senior Data Architect role is responsible for designing the enterprise information architecture for storing, moving, transforming, delivering, integrating, and managing data within the Worksite division. The role focuses on enterprise information requirements, data integration solutions, and ensuring proper governance, security, and quality of information assets.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise information architecture under limited direction to store, move, transform, deliver, integrate, and manage data.
• Contribute to the growth of the Data Architecture practice by identifying common patterns and developing frameworks for all data management disciplines.
• Execute the data strategy and vision in alignment with business goals by utilizing modeling standards, guidelines, best practices, and approved modeling techniques.
• Model the future state of the data architecture and provide best practices and guidelines.
• Review proposed data models in packaged or commercial applications for business applicability.
• Contribute significantly to data integration, business intelligence (BI), and enterprise information management programs.
• Establish metrics to track and measure the value of data architecture initiatives.
• Identify significant data assets based on business impact, decision impact, risk mitigation, or organizational relevance.
• Ensure critical information assets are represented in the enterprise information architecture (EIA) and comply with its design guidelines.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise data architecture principles and techniques
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, integration, and databases
• Proficient in SQL
• Ability to work with other teams across IT to manage data and collaborate with information architects, content architects and other data architects to support common goals and approaches
• Strong ability to act and influence as a data steward and assess/recommend models fit for use across diverse domains

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years of related work experience in data architecture; typically three to five years experience with data integration and ETL tools, data analysis and profiling, data modeling, and reporting/visualization tools.
