Data Analyst 2

About This Role

Join the Enterprise Information Security (EIS) team which is responsible for cybersecurity across the organization. This Data Analyst 2 role will conduct data analysis on large datasets to identify and remediate digital fraud and privacy events, contributing to health optimization on a global scale.

Responsibilities

• Partner with UHG Business units to understand existing tools and processes to define an individual's identity data
• Execute an effective strategy to analyze and provide next steps for remediation when inconsistencies are found in identity data
• Evaluate and quantify business impact of identity data issues, making recommendations for data improvements including required process and system changes
• Communicate value realized through data improvement efforts
• Leverage the processes and technologies of the Enterprise Intelligence suite to deliver incremental enhancements to minimize identity collision challenges and return insight to the appropriate environments

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience writing Pyspark or similar to conduct data analysis on large data sets
• 5+ years of experience with analytical and reporting tools (Pyspark, SQL, Jupyter Notebooks, etc.)
• 3+ years of healthcare data knowledge and understanding across multiple data asset types (member, consumer, provider, etc.)
• Experience with downstream use of data and analytics in a healthcare business or clinical setting
• Ability to function well in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to think critically about business problems and bring new ideas to the table

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience writing Pyspark or similar to conduct data analysis on large data sets

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated familiarity with US/feature creation to support a product team in an agile environment
• Experience developing new dashboards in PowerBI
