Senior Client Accountant

About This Role

This Senior Client Accountant role provides oversight and direction for primary accounting, bill payment, and financial support for the Financial and Property/Facility Managers. The position involves maintaining financial records, preparing comprehensive financial reporting packages, and may include supervising and directing junior accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform full cycle accounting, including analysis of accounts and transactions, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and reconciliations
• Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages timely and accurately in accordance with internal controls and client requirements
• Research and analyze financial data using data management tools and spreadsheets
• Effectively communicate complex accounting issues and escalate appropriately to management
• Apply appropriate procedures for preparation of accounting records, research of transactions, and reporting
• Comply with company financial policies and procedures, and bring inconsistencies or problems to management's attention
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing appropriate documentation and information
• Provide support and guidance to Accountants, including coaching, overseeing, leading team meetings, and onboarding new assignments
• May be responsible for oversight of accounts payable or receivable and handle billing, cash receipts, and budgeting

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong data analytic skills

Qualifications

• College degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with Yardi or other real estate accounting software
