Senior CAD Designer

About This Role

The Senior CAD Designer will work within the Transportation and Infrastructure Unit, focusing on challenging bridge and roadway projects. This role involves designing and performing calculations, as well as directing junior CAD staff.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments
• Serve as a Task Manager for small to midsize projects
• Perform calculations for structural geometry, reinforcing bars layout, and quantities
• Direct Junior Engineers and additional CAD Staff
• Lead and manage tasks to successful completion for time, budget, schedule, and quality
• Responsible for task management and adherence to deadlines and scope
• Provide advisement on scopes, budgets, and schedules for work to be completed

Requirements

• Experience working for Indiana DOT and/or Ohio, Kentucky or West Virginia DOTs
• Experience in AutoCAD and Bentley projects

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
• NBIS Inspection experience
