Provide strategic legal guidance on data privacy practices and responsible AI adoption for a partner company. This role involves ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and fostering innovative practices, contributing to a secure and ethical organizational culture.
Responsibilities
- Advise on operational privacy matters and relevant regulations
- Draft, review, and negotiate data protection and vendor contracts
- Partner with governance teams to enhance frameworks and conduct assessments
- Support AI governance and ensure responsible adoption of technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data privacy and AI matters
- Monitor regulatory changes and develop internal guidance on compliance
- Advise on cookie and tracking technologies related to analytics and marketing
Requirements
- J.D. degree
- Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 4-8 years of legal experience, preferably in privacy and tech
- Deep understanding of U.S. state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, etc.)
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating technology contracts
