Senior AI Legal Counsel

About This Role

Provide strategic legal guidance on data privacy practices and responsible AI adoption for a partner company. This role involves ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and fostering innovative practices, contributing to a secure and ethical organizational culture.

Responsibilities

• Advise on operational privacy matters and relevant regulations
• Draft, review, and negotiate data protection and vendor contracts
• Partner with governance teams to enhance frameworks and conduct assessments
• Support AI governance and ensure responsible adoption of technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data privacy and AI matters
• Monitor regulatory changes and develop internal guidance on compliance
• Advise on cookie and tracking technologies related to analytics and marketing

Requirements

• J.D. degree
• Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 4-8 years of legal experience, preferably in privacy and tech
• Deep understanding of U.S. state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, etc.)
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating technology contracts
