Senior Account Manager, Commercial Lines

About This Role

This senior-level Account Manager position on the Commercial Lines team will develop and maintain clients' insurance and risk management needs by offering innovative strategies. The role involves marketing, account management, and coordinating the renewal process for assigned clients.

Responsibilities

• Market and manage accounts for assigned clients
• Coordinate all aspects of the renewal marketing process with the client, providing program structure, review, and analysis
• Prepare account specifications, negotiate pricing, and finalize policy conditions
• Prepare summaries to be transmitted with policies, ensuring timely checking and transmission
• Prepare invoices and work with staff to issue COIs & EOIs expeditiously
• Prepare account proposals for presentation
• Provide technical competence in areas of coverage and current markets
• Explain and clarify coverage forms to clients
• Manage account services, coordinate, and direct activities
• Expand existing accounts by developing new coverages
• Document each account thoroughly, following proper E&O procedures
• Handle complex accounts
• Mentor responsibilities within the service team

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in an Account Management or related position
• Active P&C insurance license
• Adaptable, self-starter, with experienced decision-making skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, both written and oral
• Problem-solving, analytical, and marketing skills
• Organized and able to manage time effectively
• Proficient with MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Qualifications

• High School graduate/GED required
• Minimum of 8 years of working experience in an Account Management or related position.
